Cathy C. Ierullo, M.A., C. Psych.


Cathy Ierullo is the Clinical Director of New Path Child & Adolescent Psychology Centre and is a registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Her clinical training included internships at St. Catharine’s General Hospital, Brock University Therapeutic Play Centre, and training in Applied Behavioural Analysis at the Centre of Autism and Related Disorders under Dr. Ivar Lovaas. Her work centered on completing comprehensive assessments to children with developmental, learning, social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. She also consulted to school board professionals and provided Intensive Behavioural Intervention to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Cathy’s commitment to the mental health field has spanned over twenty years in both private and community based settings. Through her work with Early Intervention Services of Ontario, the Toronto Catholic School Board, and private practice she has provided psychological assessments, evidence-based treatments, and consultations to children, adolescents, parents, and school board professionals. She was also involved in the development and implementation of various classroom and group treatment programs for children and adolescents experiencing social, behavioural, and emotional challenges.

Each day I am inspired and motivated by the success my clients experience by their new formed paths of thinking and behaving. When we foster their innate ability for learning, we can create an environment for successful change.

As Clinical Director and founder of New Path Psychology Centre, Cathy’s belief is that each child, adolescent, young adult, and family is comprised of their own unique strengths and personal challenges and have the capacity to create new pathways toward adaptive functioning. Through collaborative relationships built on respect, compassion, and understanding, she assists her clients in discovering successful paths through comprehensive psychological assessments and individualized evidence-based treatment programs.

Cathy’s primary area of practice is Clinical and School Psychology. She provides assessments and treatments to children and adolescents affected by Learning Disabilities, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social Pragmatic Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and behavioural challenges. She also provides presentations on a variety of educational, social, emotional, and behavioural needs to parents and teachers to empower them with the knowledge that is a catalyst for change.
